H. Pylori
A bacterium that lives and multiplies within the mucous layer that lines the stomach and small intestine. Sometimes it can disrupt the mucous layer and inflame and erode digestive tissues, producing gastritis and occasionally an ulcer. This organism thrives in a highly acidic environment.

Calcium

Absorption of calcium carbonate may be diminished when gastric acid is low due to antacids. This may not be a problem if supplementing with calcium citrate or if calcium carbonate supplements are taken with food.
Vitamin C

Vitamin C may play a role in the overall health issues of those infected with H. pylori. Those infected with H. pylori or taking PPIs may be at risk for lower levels of vitamin C.
